Build dependable applications. Improve performance. Help teams deliver. I bring more than 30 years of experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL development, performance tuning, data architecture, data warehousing and application integration—with hands-on development DBA experience.
I help organizations build new systems and improve existing ones: capture new data, redesign how information enters and moves through systems, investigate slow queries, untangle legacy code, design data models and develop ETL processes. I turn operational requirements into working applications, supported by the documentation, installation guidance, training and assistance a team needs to maintain what we build.
Good results also depend on teamwork. I work alongside developers, subject matter specialists, architects and testers to resolve problems and keep delivery moving. At the California Department of Justice, I helped get a struggling development team back on track, improve collaboration and restore productive progress.
This website is a working example of my capabilities. I’m building it with Oracle 26ai, Python and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), combining Oracle engineering with web development, cloud deployment and AI-assisted development. I use AI to support investigation, design, coding and testing, while retaining responsibility for technical decisions and reviewing the results.
