1 Introduction
There are three technologies I would like to cover in the following pages: Oracle relational database, SQL and PL/SQL. My experience is mostly with ETLs and CRM systems and their attendant analytic reporting systems. My primary focus will be the PL/SQL language and how I have used it to move and prepare data for later reporting and for moving from one system to another. The workings of the Oracle database will also be explored when the two topics intersect since a lot of the power of PL/SQL comes from the capabilities of the Oracle database itself.
